Wokshops

  • 1) Meeting of WG groups leaders (A. Mokhir - UHEI, I.O. Fritsky - TSNUK, Y. Voloshin – INEOS RAS, O. Varzatskii – IGIC NASU) hold in Kiev on 31 May 2012, where the directions in the design and synthesis of clatrochelate compounds were discussed. Additionally Prof. Mykola Slobodyanyk, head of inorganic chemistry department of TSNUK, took part in the discussion.
     
    2) Ukrainian-German workshop hold at TSNUK in Kiev on 14 June, 2012.
    During the workshop the TSNUK participants has focused on methods of growth of single crystalsof metal complexes and hybrid compounds (planned in WP1, Task 1.8) and the UHEI participants gave outlooks of their current research and various methods used for preparation and identification of the target compounds.
    The workshop was an opportunity for young researchers to present their methodological tools and data at international audience. Note, that it has been attended by a number of PhD students, students and staff members of TSNUK and IGIC NASU (the total number of participants was more than 30 persons).

    3) A workshop on “Experimental methods of single crystal structure determination and computer methods for crystal structure solution and refinement” hold at IGIC NASU on 12.03.2013.
    During the workshop the INEOS and TSNUK participants has focused on methods of crystal structure determination, solution and refinementof metal complexes and hybrid compounds (planned in WP2, Task 3.8) and the UHEI, UWR and INEOS participants gave outlooks of their current research and various methods used for the preparation and identification of the target compounds.
    The workshop was an opportunity for young researchers to present their methodological tools and data at international audience. Note, that it has been attended by a number of PhD students, students and staff members of TSNUK and IGIC NASU (the total number of participants was more than 20 persons).

    4) FP7-PEOPLE-2011-IRSES Workshop on Design and elaboration of novel topological drugs based on cage compounds “CAGEDRUGS”, 29.08.2013, hold on Wroclaw during the XII International Symposium on Inorganic Biochemistry: Collaboration and Beyond, 28 August - 1 September 2013, Wroclaw, Poland.
    During the workshop the participants has focused on methods of synthesis, structural study, identification and physico-chemical characterization as well as biological study of metal cage complexes and hybrid compounds.
    The workshop was an opportunity for the participating researchers to present their results at international audience. Note, that it has been attended by a number of the Symposium participants not involved in the current project (the total number of participants was more than 40 persons). The ESR from the participating groups had an opportunity to present their results obtained in the framework of the current project as posters during the poster sessions of the XII International Symposium on Inorganic Biochemistry.

    5) Meeting of WG group’s leaders.
    Two meetings of WG group’s leaders were hold in Kiev: on April 29, 2014 (E. Gumienna-Kontecka - UWR, I.O. Fritsky - TSNUK, O. Varzatskii – IGIC NASU) and May 28, 2014  (E. Gumienna-Kontecka - UWR, I.O. Fritsky - TSNUK, and O. Varzatskii – IGIC NASU, H. Kozlowski - UWR, the project scientist). The project leaders have discussed the project’s progress, its achievements and problems. Also the directions in the methods of physico-chemical and biological study of clatrochelate compounds were discussed.

    6) Ukrainian-Polish workshop hold at TSNUK in Kiev on May 28, 2014.
    During the workshop the UWR and TSNUK representatives presented current research areas and ideas for the development of CAGEDRUGS project. Particularly, this workshop covered topics envisaged by the workshop on “Computer modeling of polynuclear complex formation processes in solution and their speciation” (Task 4.7).
    The workshop was an opportunity for young researchers to present their methodological tools and data at international audience. The workshop has been attended by a number of undergraduate and PhD students, and staff members of TSNUK and IGIC NASU (the total number of participants was around 35).
